  • Setting up a basic home network, either wired or wireless
  • Software installation/reinstallation

What you gain by choosing IMAMYTH Computers

Unlike other repair shops that only focus on fixing your computer, we work to offer more than that. We work to not only fix what's wrong, but explain why it happened and how to avoid it to prevent future problems of a similiar nature.

We also want you to be educated on how to get the most out of your computer, if not to prove it's more than just an expensive typewriter.

    IMAMYTH Computers FAQ

    Q) What is a FAQ?
    A) FAQ is an acronym for "Frequently Asked Question"

    Q) What are your hours of operation?
    A) Everything is by appointment only. Contact us via the methods listed in the contact section.

    Q) Is that why you specify to call before coming to drop off a computer?
    A) Yes. At this time, this business is based out of a residence and we work full time jobs elsewhere, so we're currently only available portions of the day.

    Q) Where did you come up with the name?
    A) It's a bit of a pun. Trust us, we're real. Call us when you get that joke.

    Q) Did you design that logo?
    A) Yes. Which is pretty incredible since we're not graphical artists.

    Q) Why did you use this color scheme?
    A) Because from personal experience, we feel it works better and is easier on the eyes. Plus nothing else goes with yellow.

    Q) With so many other computer repair people, why have you started up business?
    A) We started up because we want to offer another alternative, one that not only focuses on repair, but providing the customer knowledge in how to use the computer and prevent some common problems.

    Q) Teach the customer how to prevent problems? Your costing yourself job security!
    A) We don't do this job because we want to be the next Bill Gates ($80+ billion!), but we want our customers to be happy and knowledgable. And that's more important that money.

    Q) Hence your motto, right?
    A) That's correct. "Service so friendly, it's legendary!™"

    Q) You have any favorite brands that you use?
    A) It varies depending on the part. For mice, we're supporters of Logitech and Microsoft supporters. For hard drives, Seagate and Western Digital are our favorite brands.

    Q) Do you sell parts?
    A) Yes, we sell and install them (or just sell, if you want to install it yourself). If you have any inquiries, please feel free to ask.

    Q) I'm from (insert town very very far away, but still in the United States) and I want to ship my computer to you. Can I do that?
    A) Not at this time, but maybe in the future. We will offer help online though.

    Q) I'm in (insert town some 1/2 hour to 2 hours away). Will you come out?
    A) As time allows. We're willing to go to towns like Mankato, Rochester, etc. Please note there will be extra costs for the driving distance on your bill. Gas prices suck, I know.

    Q) I'm a business and need something done. Can you do it?
    A) Depends on the job. We do not specialize in servers, nor with large scale networks. But don't be immediately discouraged by this. Please contact us anyways and we'll try to figure out something for you. Small jobs we can certainly do.

    Q) Can I pay via credit card?
    A) No. We accept cash, check, money order, and PayPal. You can use a PayPal account to charge your card and send money that way. There will be an extra fee for using PayPal for your payments. But credit cards on their own, no as we have no way of charging them.

    Q) I want a business card of yours to give to a friend (or keep for myself), but I can't reach you in person for (insert reason). Will you mail one?
    A) Yes. Please send a SASE to us and we'll send one (or more if you request) back to you. Any reasonable request for multiple cards will be honored.

    Q) Where do you advertise?
    A) Here and by word of mouth.

    Q) Last question. What should I get my kids for Christmas?
    A) A new computer! (And if you do, call us and we'll set it up for you!)
